5 out of 5 Original Stiction Eliminator

I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler with a sticky lifter after it sits for a day or so and then quiets down when it warms up a little.
I added 8oz about 200 miles ago it seems to be much better already I think it will solve my problem giving it a little more time.
I use the transmission stiction eliminator and it solved that problem so I feel this will do the same.

This stuff is the real deal

I run this stiction eliminator in my f-250 6.0 motor and have 352,000 miles on my truck. I had nothing but problems with injectors and have replace them all twice before I was turned on to this Hot Shots eliminator. It has saved me big bucks as the Ford injectors on this 6.0 are garbage and troublesome. Thank you Hot Shots…..

Hot Shots makes both my 7.3 Powerstrokes act like new

I have always thought of additives like snake oil and a waste of money. Seen Fords Mechanic on you tube advise to use every 6 months and WOW. Makes it start and run like now.

    Question

    (verified owner)

Can I use the FR3 with the Stiction Eliminator? As I have been use the eliminator and it’s been working great. And if I can, then on my next oil change I would use two and a half quarts less oil and make it up with these right?

Both products are specifically designed to use by themselves; so if you have used the Stiction Eliminator in the last 3 oil changes, please switch to FR3 alone…hope that makes sense!

5 out of 5 Unbelievable Product - Saved me over a thousand dollars and much time. Believer...

I have a 2000 E350 Ford cargo van with a 7.3 diesel and just over 300,000 miles. The van had no power over half throttle and was blowing tons of white smoke. I was looking to pull the injectors and replace the turbo which is a huge job in a van. As a last resort I put in 32 oz of Stiction eliminator after draining 2 qts of oil. I drove the van into town (15 miles) to run it a bit, on the way home the van totally woke up. The turbo started spinning up although squeaked for a bit and the white smile went totally away. The van is running perfectly after less than 30 miles.

Before spending a ton of money and time, I’d highly recommend trying this product. Worse case you’re out a small amount if the issue is something more serious but Stiction Eliminator is definitely worth the money.

I have a 2003 LB7 Duramax that has 3 year old injectors showing signs of failure–white smoke, balance rates, etc. The cost to fix again is around $6000 or so — will this product help to restore these injectors or am I looking at another injector job.

You are definitely on the right track starting with the 32 oz maintenance dose since the miles are low (and every 3rd oil change after that), with FR3 in between. In fact, we recommend waiting until 40-50K miles before using additives generally, thanks!

    Stiction Eliminator

Recently purchased a 2003 7.3 Ford 185,000 miles. Changed the oil using stiction eliminator. After a few hundred miles. The first thing I’ve noticed is it’s a whole lot quieter and seems to start a little easier. Time will tell what other benefits may be seen. I’m also running the EDT in every tank. So far I’m very pleased with the products and have my buddy now using it in his 7.3 and he’s getting similar results. I haven’t seen a mileage gain but I have a lead foot

    Diesel extreme

Great product. I was having trouble every time I pulled a trailer. The engine light would come on and state I need to change fuel filter and would lose power. After using diesel extreme I don’t have this problem any more. Drives like a new vehicle. Strongly recommend this product if you are having problems with your diesel engine. Several mechanics recommend new injectors ($7,000) when this product fixed this situation.

I own a 2002 Ford Excursion with a 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel. It currently has 187K miles on it. I noticed over time lately that the engine seems Sluggish when accelerating on passing vehicles. I seen the Advertisement on the cable Truck shows and decided to try it out. Wow, within a few miles I started noticing a change and acceleration and timing of the Injectors. The more I drive the vehicle the better it gets. Very pleased with the results and I am going to let my other buddies know about the products.

I tried the product on both of my vehicles, in the Ram it took a few hundred miles and seemed to increase smoothness as well as economy, but the biggest surprise was on the smallest car the iQ the product took away a tick that I had at start up and a decent mpg increase as well as engine runs much better. I got this for an old 1986 generac generator with a 4 cyl. non turbo kia 2.4l diesel that seemed to hunt a bit and also had some hard starts at times. no fancy electronic injectors or oil driven injectors like some fords. But I thought what the heck lets try it. Well she starts right up now and seems to purr right along now so it has been great. Im waiting until my wife’s gas traverse needs an oil change to try it in that to see if it makes a difference.

    Question

2005 Mustang 4.0 V/6 5-Speed with 115K miles, bought recently, oil is black, but prior owner swears they have only used Mobil 1 full synthetic since new…
    1. Should I do an 5 quart oil/filter change using a conventional oil, while substituting 1 quart Stiction Eliminator?

    2. How long should I run that before doing another oil/filter change, as I eventually want the oil clean when I pull the dipstick.

Or will I need to do multiple conventional oil (lower cost) changes with Stiction Eliminator before going back to using Mobil 1 full synthetic to achieve “clean” oil on dipstick DURING oil change interval ?

    3. Any other suggestions?
    Thanks!

Hi Lance, the black oil does not necessarily point to an issue, and only an oil analysis would show for sure.
      1. Please replace 16 oz of oil with Stiction Eliminator at a fresh oil change (the initial treatment for that engine).
      2. You are good to run your normal oil change mileage-interval with conventional oil before servicing, and replacing with Mobile 1 at that point (Stiction Eliminator will work most efficiently with a full synthetic, however).
      3. Like I eluded to above, it is highly recommended to do an oil analysis before, after, and possibly a 3rd time depending how the first 2 results look. Feel free to call our technicians if you have any other questions, thanks!

2004 Duramax with 260,000 miles was experiencing periodic turbo lag and excessive smoke under load or heavy acceleration. Tried changing various sensors and other fixes with no change. Put in Hot Shots engine oil and fuel system additives and problem went away in less than 2000 miles. 286,000 miles on it now and have not experienced any turbo lag issues.

    Question

I added four quarts to a nearly fresh oil change on my 09 KW with 850,000 miles. I found out later that day that my mechanic had added 2 gal or Lucas oil stabilizer to my oil change. Will this damage the engine or do I need to drain it?

Hi Bryan, generally we do NOT recommend mixing oil additives, but in your case it will be ok. Very low chance for any damage since Lucas oil stabilizer is essentially a thick oil; petroleum based with very few additives.

    Question

I have an 2004.5 Dodge, 5.9 Cummins with 339,000 miles on it. I found your Stiction Eliminator product on the internet and I am considering using it. When is the best time to add Stiction Eliminator, just before an oil change or at an oil change? I use extended drain times on my oil changes. How long should you run Stiction Eliminator in your oil before changing it? How much do I use? My engine requires 12 quarts at an oil change. Thank you.

      Admin (verified owner)

Hello Gary. Please use 2 quarts of Stiction Eliminator replacing 2 quarts of oil at a fresh oil change. You are fine with extended drains and leaving Stiction Eliminator in the oil, whether it’s 3,000 or 20,000 miles; the longer it’s in the oil, the more it will continue to clean! (as long as you are routinely analyzing the health, TBN, etc.)

I own an 07 F250 6.0L, and I was dealing with hard starts, and rough idle. I thought I would give the Stiction Elminator and the Blue Diamond oil a try. I was very sceptical at first, but the next morning when I started my truck, there was an instant change in the initial idle, and was missing just a little till it warmed up. On day 2, there was no missing at all. I purposely started my truck and started to drive it to test it. To my amazement, my truck ran perfect! No rough idle, no hard starts. I gained 3 miles per gal, and noticeable horsepower gain immediately. If you have your doubts, like I did, there is no need! I’m still amazed, and will forever run Blue Diamond and Stiction Elminator in my truck!

I’ve been waiting a long time for a product that would keep the gunk from building up in those tiny oil passages in the rocker arms and lifters of overhead cam engines. The only actual result I can post is a ticking valve at cold start up that took a licking and stopped ticking. The reviews are good, but most of my trust comes from the informative interviews on “Americas Trucking Network” and comments from people I’ve come to know and trust. It’s in my 3 cylinder diesel tractor taking care of business. Thanks Chris.

5 out of 5 Stiction Eliminator

I have been using stiction eliminator and diesel extreme in my 99 7.3 for the past year. Before using your product I was averaging 14-15.2 mpg, I have changed the oil every 5k miles and add the fuel treatment every 10k. Every time the mileage and performance has went up (this morning the truck averaged 19 mpg, IMO, not bad at all for a 1 ton dually, 4:10 gearing with a 4 speed tranny). I could not be happier with the product. I have also used both products in my daughters 2002 duramax (had an injector issue), after running the stiction eliminator I noticed almost immediately that the problem cleared up significantly. Thank you very much for this product. I would recommend (and have) your products to everyone. My next tranny flush I plan on using the TSE, and will review that. Once again, thank you for a great product.

I bought a 2000 Duramax that stopped running. A mechanic I trust and others said diagnosed that some injectors were stuck open because there was a lot of fuel in the oil pan. First step suggested was to replace all injectors and then see if the fuel pump was good.

I can only get the truck to started by spraying starter fluid into air intake and keep it running with intermittent bursts. I can also keep it running with propane gas going into intake.

Do you think stiction eliminator could fix injectors stuck open and bring the truck back to life?

    Question

Hello, I have a question regarding HSS in the 6.0 powerstroke. Initially ran the 2 qts in my first oil change + 13 qts T6 5w40. Next change, I ran a maintenance qt second oil change + 14 qts T6 5w40. Did not run it next oil change only 15 qts T6. Now this past weekend, I changed to Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5w40 14 qts + 1 qt. HSS. My plan was to do an initial clean out and then two maintenance clean-outs (had an issue that resulted in interruption of that plan), then run the recommended HSS interval every third oil change thereafter. Will running the HSS in the described fashion create an issue over just 5w40 synthetic? The truck seemed to really like the HHS and responded very well to it when I ran it the 1st time and successive time on the maintenance dose? Also, can this be run every oil change?

Hi William, there is no issue with how you are using and planning to use Stiction Eliminator. We recommend using the FR3 Friction Reducer with the oil changes in between the maintenance doses of Stiction Eliminator; guarantee your 6.0L will love it!

I have been using HSS products for the last 5 years in my ’05 6.0 to prevent trouble. I have always used premium brand fuel additive and synthetic oils but have settled on HSS because I feel my truck responds to it the best. And the company backs up it’s claims with testing and refunds if you’re not happy with the results.

    (verified owner)

I was skeptical but, I added 2quarts to my 15 quart oil change in a 2003 6.0 liter powerstroke. This thing was not running well at all. After driving about 35 or 40 miles on the interstate I noticed it smoothing out. By the end of the day and about 300 miles my truck ran better, idled better and accelerated better. Now with almost 1000 miles it runs almost like it did 147000 miles ago.
This stuff is pricey but well worth it ! Especially with the guarantee.
    Thanks guys !

    Question

Had issues with a 07 Chevy Traverse, the cylinder closest to the fire wall has a cooling issue and a lot of build up. With that the VVT is not doing what it is suppose to do. Changed all the cam position sensors, with only 70000 miles I don’t thing it is the cam chain. After some research found out this is a common problem. This brings me to you and giving you product a try. I figure it is a 50/50 chance it will clear the problem before a 2000.- cam chain replacement. Your thoughts!

After 3500kms of stiction eliminator the noise is still there. I dont think its a stiction issue. Its been doing it since i got it and motor runs strong. It also only does it only when the truck sits until the oil runs all back in crankcase. Overall though i do notice the motor is running smoother. From that sounds like the product is cleaning out the crap in the engine. I do really like this product nonetheless. Gonna try the fr3 next two oil changes and see if there is more improvements. Thanks Hot shot!

Hello, you are good to go in that particular tractor with no EGR and DPF concerns. Initial cleaning product for the oil system is Stiction Eliminator, followed by FR3 Friction Reducer for maintenance.

Hey Jason no worries, this is the perfect time to start using Stiction Eliminator. We recommend the initial cleanout of 2 quarts replacing 2 quarts of engine oil, thanks!

    Question

I have 3 fords with 5.4 3 valve engines . timing chains were rattling in all of them and one had a sticking can timing motor. I added hot shots to the oil and have no more timing chain rattling and the motor works perfect , no more can timing codes. Is this good for my gas engines or have I made a mistake

If you’re referring to injectors specifically, no, but it will clean anything oil comes in contact with such as rings, camshaft, and turbo bearings. We’ve had great testimonials from 5.9L users about restorative benefits.

It would definitely be worth a treatment of Stiction Eliminator with that many miles. It will clean anything the oil comes in contact with such as rings, camshaft, and turbo bearings.

Hi Chris, don’t think about a rebuild yet until you try the Diesel Duo! The Diesel Extreme Fuel additive will clean the injectors and fuel system in the first tank-full or 2.

While the Stiction Eliminator won’t “fix” non-HEUI injectors, with that many miles, it will restore everything the oil comes in contact with. Keep us posted on results and remember we have a money-back guarantee!

5 out of 5 WOW! Fault Code Cleared.

I have. 2013 Volvo VNL with an ISX Cummins.
Truck was running rough and fault Code for #3 injector came on. Being out in the middle of nowhere on I-80 in Nevada, I bought a jug in Mill City. By the time I got to Reno, the code cleared and is now running smoothly. Thanks for such a great product.

    Question

I’ve read that you recommend full synthetic oil with this product, do you have any recommendations for a “02” 7.3 with 240,000 miles?… I’m a little hesitant using synthetic in an older motor that’s never had synthetic oil in it…thanks

Hello! I would say besides our Blue Diamond Oil, the Shell Rotella T6 is one great option for synthetic in a 7.3L. Also, it is a disproven fact that it will hurt to switch between regular, semi-synthetic, and full-synthetic oils; especially in “modern” engines.

If you are still not convinced, you’ll still have great results with Stiction Eliminator in any oil!

R.Taylor I have 380k on my 2000 7.3l superduty i run 15w40 royal purple with hotshots additive and have zero issues. The synthetic oil for a diesel is so much better for the engine and turbo bearings/bushings. this is what i recommend for all of my customers who bring be their diesels. Hope this helps.

Hi Spencer, this product was designed and tested to essentially dissolve any stiction buildup; at the very worst it will be stopped by the filter. Hope that answers your concerns, thanks!

    Stiction Eliminator review

I purchased this product for my 2010 Ford F-150 about 1 month ago…..changed my oil and added this as well. Within only a few days, I could tell that my engine runs and idles smoother and quieter. I would recommend this product if you are interested to extend the life of your truck or car’s engine.

new user, have a 2003 6.0L holds 15 qts. do I add the Stiction Eliminator 2 qts + to make 17 qts total or deduct 2 qts and use 13 qts of engine oil and 2 qts of Stiction Eliminator to stay at 15 qts?

Hi Corey! Please deduct 2 qts and use 13 qts of engine oil plus the 2 qts of Stiction Eliminator. (In no instance do you want to overfill the crankcase.) We guarantee your 6.0L will love the product, feel free to keep us posted!

    What a difference

Performance is exactly ad advertised. At 100 into the oil change, smoking is 95% eliminated. Still struggling going uphill at 1200 rpm, but it’s now in 10th gear as opposed to 9th or even 8th. Cummins isx with over 1.3 million on the block. Turbo response is way better. Oil temp208 to 212
